I...I like the last generation Mistubishi Eclipse.
yes, they were FWD and in no way lived up to the 2nd gen turbo charged monsters.
But they are cheap to buy, cheap to run, relatively roomy, good looking, reliable (AFAIK) cars that could be had with a 265hp V6 (though I cant find any on the toronto kijiji/autotrader with a stick) and a factory installed sub-woofer.
Plus, the GT with the big wing and in yellow looks SICK (mm, the mid 2000s)
they look REALLY good lowered slightly and on black wheels

I like them too.

I always thought these would be a great high school car. At least, I wanted one in high school as much as a Pontiac Grand Prix or Celica.

Never really liked those, but was a fan of the 3rd gens. Especially the 2003+ GTS
I campaigned this one in Forza 4 for as much as I could.... and then Evo driveline swapped it when I couldn’t.

I like it with no shame. I’m also a bit of a fan of the the generation prior...

I campaigned a GT-R R35 for a while in Forza 4. I actually managed to compete in the R1 championship events with my R2 GT-R.

those were 3rd gens. 2nd gen was the fast and furious car.

What are you talking about, I didn’t edit my post just now....

Me too, especially in blue.

I really liked the front end of this car, but hated the back end. a 2G Talon is my Lemons Dream/Nightmare car.

I was always told that V6 was junk... Timing chains seemed to always be a problem on them as well as bearings. ECV is also quite loud on those thanks to Mitsu’s great design.
I don’t think they’re bad, but a Duratec V6 or 3800 is still way more reliable.

I would never own one, but I think these are the best looking version of the Eclipse.

Disagree. They’re ugly as sin. All of it, from end to end.
I could care less about FWD V6 coupes.

It’s IMO the last great car design to come from Mitsu. I see daily one in Grey looking great and I love it too. The bad is the interior (Plastic from tupperware and rubbermaid everywhere) the 276hp V6 is very rough and will torque steer at any gear, Car is heavy dunno why. The auto removes all the excitement. Also these Mitsus had these overdesigned consoles with stereos that could not be upgraded. (See also Mitsu Galant) and they didn’t put the goodies they did in previous gens (AWD or Turbos) Still. Great design and I’d love an orange one.

Strippers cars!
Every “Exotic Dancer” I’ve known seems to have oned one of these or knew someone who did.

I hate them all. Every one I see is riced out and terrible. I kinda like the looks of some generations of eclipse but wish the performance and handling held up to the sports car looks.

If you found an auto car with a unmolested engine it would work great. ARP Headgaskets and studs and a 16g ebay turbo and it will hold 25+ PSI.

The engines sucked ass
Also 1g and 2g are best. Early 90's stuff doing this

yes, but you cant find an early 90's car thats even remotely worth its asking price in canada. hell, even in the states its hard to find one that hasnt been riced or beaten into oblivion.

I got 12 notifications from this.
I know the performance doesnt hold up, and realistically, i dont need the performance (i have the bike for going fast and having fun)

From what? My comment?
So you want a car that looks good but isnt sportsy with a wing and a subwoofer and its FWD.
I think there are better options.

yea from your comment. kinja be being weird these days
Id like the performance, dont get me wrong. But I dont need it. And for the price, IDK. it seems like a pretty good deal.

I like white ones. Might be a nice daily with some wheels and some suspension work maybe its just this picture but the offset of wheels makes it look poopy.

The Eclipse always had a look stock that betrayed the aftermarket companies. When you tried to make exterior modifications, it kind of took away from the original look instead of complimenting it IMO.
Plus, that V6 got wasted on that drivetrain. But don’t take my word for it: just ask Fiat about putting V6 in FWD cars and how that worked out.... :P

This orange one is nice.
